Custom cable hooks: colour, logo and size

Start with the hook’s task

Before choosing a colour, consider what the hook needs to support. How large is the cable or hose bundle? What support will the hook hang from? Do you need one supporting point or separate positions for several cable groups?

PLYHOOK offers S-hooks in different sizes and cable hangers with different support layouts. Compare the dimensions and drawing with your application to select a model. A photograph or simple sketch with your enquiry helps explain the need more precisely.

Choose a colour that means something to you

Colour can reflect your company identity or help distinguish your equipment. A team might agree on a colour for its tools, for example. This works best when every user understands what that colour means.

Standard S-hook colours are yellow and black; cable hangers come in orange and black. For your own colour, include the RAL code in the enquiry. It gives the buyer and manufacturer a shared reference for agreeing on the shade.

Screen colours are a guide. If an exact match is critical, we agree how to approve it before production. Feasibility, price, quantity and delivery time for a custom colour are confirmed in the quotation.

Add your logo and review its position

A logo can identify even a small piece of equipment as belonging to your company. Good placement takes account of the hook’s shape and its orientation in use.

The product-page preview lets you upload a logo, move it into position and adjust its size and rotation. You can also rotate the hook view to assess the placement more easily. This shows your request directly on the product.

A PNG, JPG or WebP image works for the preview. Keep the original logo file for production approval, preferably a vector file whose lines and lettering remain clear when enlarged. Logo size should support readability. For very fine lettering or complex artwork, a simpler version of the logo can often give a clearer result.

Need a different size or shape?

Sometimes the application sets specific requirements: an unusual support dimension, a different cable-group arrangement or a design suited to particular equipment. You can then enquire about a plywood hook in a custom shape or size.

Describe what needs to change and why. Include the requested dimensions, details of the equipment being supported, intended load and operating environment. Add any drawing or photograph you have.

We review manufacturing options and the checks needed for the request. A drawing or sample may be the first step. Changing the shape or dimensions can affect the hook’s properties, so suitability is agreed separately for a custom design. The online preview does not automatically redraw the shape.

Prepare an enquiry that supports a quotation

Straightforward ordering starts with clear information. Include:

• the chosen model and number of boxes;
• a standard colour or the requested RAL code;
• the logo and desired position, if marking is required;
• the delivery country and requested delivery time;
• the application and required dimensions for a custom design.
